Morecambe and Wise

on BBC One London

Classic comedy with Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. In this compilation of some of the funniest moments from the seventies' shows, Eric announces Ernie's retirement and Ernie threatens not to mention Eric in his memoirs.
Other highlights include Shirley Bassey's memorable rendition of Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, when she loses a sandal and ends up in a hobnail boot thanks to the backstage "assistance" of Eric and Ernie. Actor Keith Michell makes an appearance in another epic Ernest Wise stage play - the one about the Foreign Legion. And there's the television debut of a canine guest, Brutus the Siberian puddle-maker.
