Emlyn Jones (baritone) Rachel Evans started singing in public when she was eight years old and since then she has won over 120 prizes.
Emlyn Jones has frequently broadcast from Cardiff and Swansea, his first appearance before the microphone being in 1924. Two of his most outstanding broadcasts were as soloist in the first broadcast performance of ' Ystafell Cynddylan' (Vaughan Thomas ) and in the first broadcast performance of ' Alun MaHon ' (Idris Lewis ). Listeners will remember that he also sang in the memorial broadcast to the late Dr. Caradoc Roberts. He has won the baritone solo prize in the National Eisteddfod of Wales on four occasions, including Caernarvon, 1935, and Fishguard, 1936, and he has four times been one of the successful duettists.
