Another View by Prince John Loewenstein in The Kon-Tiki Expedition and more fully in American Indians in the Pacific Thor Heyerdahl put forward the theory that the Polynesian islands, scattered between New Zealand, Hawaii, and Easter Island, had originally been settled by migrants from the South American sub-continent.
The speaker, who is Curator of Anthropology and Archaeology at the Raffles Museum, Singapore, re-examines the evidence for and against this theory.
