A Repeat Performance of 'Dancing Through'

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

(Third Edition)
This is a repeat of Geraldo's Non-Stop Pageant, broadcast on May 4. It consists of numbers from popular tunes of the past twenty-five years. Dance music, popular songs, anything and everything that caught on at the time, tunes that rang in our ears, and were for long remembered. Pre-war waltzes ... ragtime ... the feverish ditties of the war period ... jazz ... the languorous blues.... and so to the rumba !
Everyone who listens to these Non-
Stop Hours cannot help but be carried away by the sheer breathless excitement of it all-one tune following another without a pause. It was an amazing feat of Geraldo and his band to broadcast 145 tunes without a stop in his first ' Dancing Through '. But even that incredible number has been left behind.
So popular have these Non-Stops been that each edition has been repeated.
The first was broadcast in April last year and was repeated in June. The second, broadcast in November, was repeated last February. It was generally agreed that this Jubilee edition was the best so far.
