Roberta is 28, married and bored. A chance look at a personal ad from someone 'desperately seeking Susan' begins a madcap adventure, a quest for something wild. But the real Susan is in deep trouble, and Roberta's obsession with her results in a bizarre change of identity that catapults her into the crazy world of nightclubs, magic shows and murder.
