Abby McClure is perfectly content with her life as a widow, running a lumberyard witn the help of her three sons. Her sister Maxine, however, is convinced that
Abby needs another husband and introduces her to Jake Iverson, a widower with a teenage daughter. Against all the odds, Abby and Jake do form a romantic attachment - but their children are determined to thwart any attempt to merge the two families.
