Tomorrow morning a statue in memory of Jan Christiaan Smuts is being unveiled in Parliament Square by Sir Winston Churchill. Miss Juta, a South African herself, recalls her memories of the great part played by Smuts, together with Louis Botha, in founding the Union of South Africa and the wider union of the Commonwealth.
