This morning's service comes from one of the beautiful new churches that are being built in many Scottish cities to meet the needs of new housing centres. St. Christopher's Church serves the new housing area of Craigentinny, which is situated to the east of Edinburgh on the shores of the Firth near Portobello.
Three years ago the foundation stone was laid by Lord Tweedsmuir, then Mr. John Buchan. It was opened and dedicated last December.
