There are seven hundred and fifty homing clubs, with approximately twenty thousand members, in the Midland Regional's area. Mr. Sewell is a Vice-President of the National Homing Union Council, of the Derbyshire Federation and of the Derbyshire and South Yorkshire Centre, as well as Treasurer of the last-named. He originated the scheme for supplying convoycrs of pigeons with weather forecasts.
