After his convincing first title defence in June, when he defeated Vito Antuofermo comfortably in eight rounds, the 29-year-old Briton from Crawley - the only undisputed world champion in boxing - faces the top contender, a fellow southpaw from Boston. The American claims he should have become champion himself when given a hotly-contested draw in his previous title challenge against Antuofermo last November.
