Coverage of this afternoon's ladies' semi-finals. Reigning champion Steffi Graf was seeded number 1 and if everything has gone to the seeding committee's plans she would be meeting nine-times champion Martina Navratilova. Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and Conchita Martinez , both from
Spain, were the second and third seeds. Twenty-five years ago, one of today's commentators, Ann Jones , came back from a set down to beat Margaret Court in the semi-final, and went on to defeat Billie Jean King in the final.
