Blue Peter Royal Safari

on BBC One London

with HRH The Princess Anne and Valerie Singleton
"Since the first showing of this film Blue Peter launched an appeal for three million parcels of old socks and pillow cases to provide a dormitory for 20 children at the Starehe Boys Centre. The response was so great the target was trebled - so now 60 destitute African boys will be given the chance of a new life and a secure future. A truly happy ending to the film!
An excellent debut for the Princess in her first major television show."
