In this tense drama set in Boston s 87th Precinct police station, Sgt Steve Carella and his fellow officers are given the task of solving a series of bizarre killings. The only link is that all the victims are local officials and the killer is demanding 50,000 dollars to stop the attacks. Burt Reynolds plays a characteristic role as the cop at odds with urban violence - and Raquel Welch !
