Norman's efforts to save an orphanage and provide presents for the children lead him into a succession of wild adventures - a riotous back-stage chase, the London-Brighton walking race and a dare-devil drive in a model car are all part of the trail of crazy chaos he leaves behind him.
One Good Turn was Norman Wisdom's second film, and one of his most inventive and eventful comedies. Norman has two leading ladies, Joan Rice and Shirley Abicair, and Thora Hird is also featured prominently in the supporting cast. Ted (Dixon of Dock Green) Willis was one of the contributors to the screenplay.
