1945. In the little Italian village of Santa Vittoria the news of Mussolini's death is followed by another, more disturbing, announcement: the Germans intend to occupy Santa Vittoria and commandeer the wine that represents the village's wealth. Mayor Bombolini and his fellow citizens are faced with a rather Large problem -how to conceal one million bottles of wine from the thirsty invaders.
