Arthur Askey

on BBC One London

in The Old Boy Network
Last month one of Britain s most loved entertainers died at the age of 82. This afternoon, as a tribute, we repeat a special programme that Arthur Askey made in 1978, talking of his 60 years in the world of radio, music-hall, film and television. Very few people can remember a time when Arthur Askey wasn't part of Britain's comic furniture. Recorded at Westminster Theatre.
