Saturday Late Film: A Man Called Horse

Captured by a tribe of Sioux Indians, English aristocrat Lord John Morgan is tortured, humiliated and treated as a horse. Gradually, in an attempt to survive, he integrates himself with the Indians and their culture, learning to live in the wilderness. Finally, to gain recognition as a chief, Morgan elects to undergo the savage Sun Vow ritual. This powerful film is based on authentic records of the period.
