I-London and Birmingham
Railway
Michael Bonavia
This is the first of two talks by Michael Bonavia on raiftvay centenaries and it will be illustrated by extracts from contemporary accounts and guide books. Some of these are very amusing, especially those dealing with speed, tunnels, signalling, and the general excitement with which the occasion was greeted. The extracts will be read by that well-known broadcaster, V. C. Clinton-Baddeley .
