Both the Mafia and the New York police react instantly. Gang boss Don Gennaro sends his ruthless son-in-law Nick D'Salvio to reassert control over Harlem, while two bitter police rivals, black Lt Pope and white veteran Frank Mattelli , are detailed to hunt down the killers in the violent world across 110th Street....
