Composer of the Week: Sibelius

Jeremy Hayes continues his exploration of Sibelius's theatre music and symphonic poems with the last part of his ambitious pantomime-drama Scaramouche, in which a beautiful woman is seduced by a hunchbacked viola player.
There is also an excerpt from the unpublished music for The Lizard, an early recording conducted by a famous
Sibelian, and a tone poem which tells the story of the creation of the world according to Finnish mythology. Suite: Belshazzar's Feast
