Tomorrow's World

on BBC One London

featuring HRH The Prince of Wales' Award for Industrial Innovation and Production
Two-and-a-half years ago, Prince Charles told Tomorrow's World viewers that he thought we in Britain were good at having ideas - but not so good at turning them into products. So a viewer wrote asking him to do something to help change all that. Partly as a result, THE PRINCE OF WALES launched his award - and asked Tomorrow's World to helD staee the competition for it.
Last year we showed you the nine finalists for the first award. During the past year, their progress with the production and development of their ideas has been assessed by the judges. So tonight, in the Tomorrow's World studio, the one single winner of the very first Prince of Wales Award for Industrial Innovation and Production will receive the trophy from Prince Charles himself. And ten finalists, already competing for the second award, will receive certificates for the best ideas from over 900 entries.
