A. G. Street, a frequent member of the 'Any Questions?' team, comes from Wiltshire. He is a well-known novelist and writer on agricultural matters.
Graham Hutton is an economist and barrister. His mother was born in Dorset and he has strong associations with the county. He is the author of books on the Balkans and the United States and a contributor to leading American and European journals.
Frank Byers was Member of Parliament for North Dorset in the last Parliament, and was Chief Liberal Whip from 1946. He was educated at Westminster and Christ Church, Oxford. He is now Chairman of the Liberal Party Organisation.
Kingsley Martin was educated at Mill Hill School and Magdalene College, Cambridge. He was Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the London School of Economics from 1923 to 1927, when he joined the editorial staff of The Manchester Guardian. He has been Editor of The New Statesman and Nation since 1931.
