Maurice Cole began his musical education at the age of seven. Two years later he went to the Guildhall School of Music and studied there till he was fourteen. He also studied with Arthur de Greef in London and Brussels. He has been broadcasting ever since the pioneer days at Marconi House. Shortly before the war he was appointed professor at the Guildhall School of Music.
