The present members of the West Regional Trio, who will be heard in Haydn Trios in the Foundations of Music this week, have played together since 1927. Frank Thomas (violin) and Hubert Pengelly (pianoforte) are from Bristol, and Ronald Harding, a graduate of Aberystwyth, was for some time a member of the Queen's Hall Orchestra. This Trio broadcast all of the Beethoven and all of the Mozart Trios in a series of Wednesday Afternoon concerts from the Studio during 1929 and 1930.
