They Shouldn't Be Allowed Out

on BBC Radio 4 FM

Peter White claims that his introduction to road safety and politics was simultaneous. As a totally blind 4-year-old on a tricycle, he ran over a local councillor canvasing for votes, but this was not the only incident which led neighbours to declare that Peter and his blind brother should be kept locked up at home for safety.
But as he describes in the first of three talks, he was determined to enjoy life to the full.
