Elvis Lives

on BBC One London

' I would give my life away for one hour just to see Elvis.'
(MICK HAYWOOD ,
English fan)
'He can bring people together from all over the world.'
(American fan)
'Some feel that Elvis might be the new Messiah.'
(LARRY GELLER , Elvis's hairdresser and spiritual adviser)
Since he died on 16 August 1977, Elvis Presley has become bigger in death than in life. Filmed in England, across the USA and in Memphis on the anniversary of his death, Elvis Lives looks at the fans who live their lives for Elvis; the people who make a living from Elvis, including a Las Vegas impersonator and a Hollywood lookalikes agency; and it also takes a look at the length to which some people will go to express their adoration for the King of Rock 'n' Roll - even plastic surgery.
