President of the Society
The Right Hon. J. Milne Barbour , Minister of Commerce for Northern Ireland, is President of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, which will hold its Show at the King's Hall, Balmoral, Belfast, from May 27-31. The Show is the most important of the year in Northern Ireland ; both agricultural and industrial interests are represented, and it is something of a social event in the life of the Province.
Mr. Milne Barbour occupies an important place in the commercial life of the country, and many listeners will remember his recent talk in the series ' Small Beginnings ', when he described the growth of the Linen Industry.
