Clark Terry , a much sought-after soloist on trumpet and flugelhorn and sometime leader of his own Big Bad Band talks to CHARLES FOX about his career in jazz since the 1930s. He has played with the Charlie Barnet , Count Basie and Duke Ellington bands and was the first black musician to be regularly employed as a session player. The programme is illustrated with some of his many recordings, including those with Thelonious Monk and Bob Brookmeyer.
