from Rothwell, Northants
The small country town of Rothwell became famous for its boots and shoes.
Roger Royle talks to Roy Lovell in one of the two remaining shoe factories, finds out about street theatre from Roger Smith , and visits the bone crypt below Holy Trinity Church which holds the remains of 2,000 of Rothwell's former inhabitants. In the church itself the people of the town join to sing their favourite hymns.
