Last Night of the Proms

on BBC One London

A rousing climax is guaranteed in the second half of tonight's live concert. But before the fun and frolics of Pomp and Circumstance, Sea Songs and Rule, Britannia!, there's more serious music-making.
Part 2 begins with Walton's Shakespeare Suite from
Richard III , some of Vaughan Williams's Songs of Travel (the bass soloist is John Tomlinson ) and Bennett's waltz The Orient
Express. Jerusalem provides the traditional grand finale to the proceedings.
SIMULTANEOUS BROADCAST: with Radio 3
As coverage of the Prom
Is live, subsequent programmes may run late
