Kind Hearts and Coronets

on BBC One London

starring Alec Guinness Dennis Price
Joan Greenwood
This film, one of the greatest of all British movies and an unusually black Ealing comedy, is famous for
Alec Guinness 's portrayal of eight contrasting characters.
Equally memorable is Dennis Price as Louis, a lowly member of the noble
D'Ascoyne family, who decides to avenge himself for their treatment of his mother and rises to become the Duke of Chalfont. His plan is simple - to murder each member of the family who stands between him and the coveted title.
