Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Toni Block
Last week Mr. Owen arrived at Virginia Lodge. He was determined that if Jenny left the drama school she would return to Wales wirh him. Bob tried to persuade him otherwise, but to no avail. Mr Fulton, rather surprisingly, took Jenny's side. He went and saw the principal of the drama school and arranged for her to meet the producer of a repertory company. Jenny, back again in the theatre, realised she could never leave it. Eventually it was decided she should return home for a week-end to tell her mother. Zenobia was hoping to buy a tittle shop, which had fallen empty in Gimlet Green, because she thought it might encourage Joe, her husband, to work. Maud French, driving Mrs. Freeman to Sally's cottage, saw the shop and decided she wanted it. Sally went to the auction on behalf of Zenobia and was outbid by Maud. Mrs. Freeman and Sally were furious, but as they were leaving the auction room Zenobia rushed up to say she had told Joe and found he had already got himself a iob.
