8.10 Getting to Know Primo levi On the tenth anniversary of Italian author Primo Levi's death, David Mendel gives a personal account of his friendship with the author. This began when Mendel was sent to interview Levi for an obituary article, and ended when, anxious about his friend's state of health, he flew into Turin on 10 April 1987. It was the eve of Levi's death.
