The Jolson Story - one of Hollywood's greatest musical hits and shown on BBC1 over Christmas - left Jolson at the peak of success with the arrival of the talkies. Larry Parks again does his uncannily accurate portrayal as the story follows Jolson through the doldrums of the thirties and his comeback in the forties - with a host of authentic Jolson hit tunes along the way.
