Bellamy Rides Again: The Phosphorus Cycle

on BBC One London

The fourth of six programmes examining the elemental cycles vital to life.

David Bellamy dances his way through an aerobics class to show how phosphorus helps turn food into energy. Then he sits in the smallest room demonstrating the way that phosphorus from all over the world enters his own short-term economy and leaves it on a one-way trip to the sea. Phosphorus, says David Bellamy, must be recycled before it all goes the same way.
