As the BBC Big Band takes a break, some of Britain's other premier bands step into the spotlight. The Echoes of Ellington Jazz Orchestra is presented by its leader and clarinet soloist Pete Long. The music featured tonight ranges chronologically from the early thirties to the late sixties.
