' The Land of the White Rose ' : Part 2—In which Wilfred continues his journey through his own county. Script by Joan Littlewood and production by Nan Macdonald
Wilfred visits the ports and fishing villages of the coast and the dales of northern Yorkshire. Fishermen's children and farmers' sons act as his guides. They show him their favourite haunts, and sing him the songs of their native place. Wilfred in turn, tells them old tales of the whaling and smuggling days, and together they explore the forgotten corners of Yorkshire's historic towns and quiet dales.
