Fifteen former Jewish child refugees who, 50 years ago, fled from Nazi persecution to Britain, hold a reunion at the house in Bradford which became their wartime home. After the festivities, they listen to the speech that brings the evening to a poignant climax. The toast is L 'Chaim - to life.
