Superstar Redford plays the dare-devil aerial stuntman Waldo Pepper whose ambition is to challenge the supremacy of the legendary German pilot Ernst Kessler. This entrancing, spectacular film vividly evokes the fast-changing world of flying and air circuses in the 20s and includes some of the most exciting aerial stunts in the history of the movies.
