SIR ALEC met his favourite poet as a result of writing him a fan letter after hearing a wartime broadcast. This was followed by his famous interpretation of Sir Henry Har court-Reilly in The Cocktail Party.
This evening Sir Alec intersperses his own readings from Eliot's verse with commentary and personal reminiscence.
