Ugo Foscolo: The Poet in Exile

The Italian poet Ugo Foscolo, born in 1778, spent the last 11 years of his life in London, and died in rooms in Turnham Green in 1827. Tony Clark introduces his own translations from Foscolo's poems, which were prepared with the help of the late Professor E. R. Vincent and are read in English by Henry Stamper, and in Italian by Robert Rietty.
