Charles Mingus and Gil Evans , has made a speciality of supplying made-to-measure musical settings for a succession of brilliant soloists. In this fifth programme, she talks to Alan Plater about her association with, among others, trombonist Gary Valente , trumpeter Lew Soloff and tenor saxophonist Andy Sheppard.
