When Anne Egerton's sister Margaret is ill, Anne offers to take her place doing secretarial work at Mr. Henry Smith's committee room before the municipal elections. Unaware that there may be more than one Henry Smith, Anne nominates the wrong candidate, and the local council is in for some shocks.
