Farm Walk
Bill Marshall pays a visit, with a recording car, to Oathill Farm, Enstone, Oxford.
The Henderson brothers, George and Frank, have adopted a five-course rotation on their eighty-odd acres at Enstone. Stock carried is 50 cattle, 40 breeding ewes, 12 sows and followers, 1,700 mated hens and 400 hens in folds, while 8,000 chicks are reared annually. This intensive stocking policy represents three times more cattle, ten times more pigs, four times more sheep, and twenty-five times more poultry than the national average.
