In this one-off special Carol Smillie introduces two families not only willing to trade holiday habits but also to spend Christmas away from home for the first time. The
Alpine-loving Hopkins family are sent to Florida, while the sun-worshipping Pollendine family are given a break in the French Alps. A new series is planned for the new year.
