Facing the Class
Some of Britain's half-million teachers talk to David Dimblcby about the problems they face in our changing schools. They discuss discipline in the class and at home, the physical and mental demands of their job, the bright pupils and the ones with little interest in learning. They look back on their own training and the shock of facing a class for the first time and put forward their ideas on how standards could be improved.
