Formal Opening of The East Wing Extensions National Museum of Wales

Arrival at the Entrance of the Museum where His Royal Highness will be received by the President of the National Museum of Wales (Sir William Reardon Smith, Baronet, D.L.) The President will, conduct His Royal Highness through the Main Doors of the Royal Dais in the Entrance Hall
All will join in singing the Welsh National Anthem, Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau
The President will call upon the Director (Dr. Cyril. Fox, F.S.A.) to read the Address of Welcome, which the President will subsequently hand to His Royal Highness
His Royal Highness will reply to the Address of Welcome, and declare the Eastern Range of Galleries and Lecture Theatre open
The President will present to His Royal Highness members of the Council of the Museum
His Royal Highness will proceed to inspect the new part of the building, under the guidance of the President
During the inspection a Programme of Music will be rendered by The Pontardulais Choral Society and The Western Studio Orchestra
His Royal Highness will return to the Dais in the Entrance Hall
The President will ask His Royal Highness graciously to accept a bronze statuette St. George, by Sir William Goscombe John, K.A., as a memento of the occasion
The Vice-President of the Museum (The Earl of Plymouth P.C.) will thank His Royal Highness for performing the Opening Ceremony
Psalm viii will be sung by The Choir
The Archdruid of Wales will lead all present in saying the Lord's Prayer
Hymn, Marchog Iesu (Tune, Hyfrydol)
The Lord Archbishop of Wales will pronounce the Benediction
The National Anthem will be sung
His Royal Highness, attended by the President, the Vice-President, the Director and the Marshal, will leave the Museum
