Alexander Konstantinovich Glazunov was born in 1865, began composing at an early age, and became a pupil of Rimsky-Korsakov. This week's programmes cover the entire length of his career, from his earliest symphonic piece to the final years of illness and depression before his eventual death in Paris in 1936.
