Mica Paris returns for another series of R n' B music and soulful conversation, beginning with Bobby Womack. Now 60, Womack is in animated mood as he tells anecdotes about working with some of the biggest names in soul music. He got his first break when he was spotted by the legendary Sam Cooke and went on to write what became the Rolling Stones' first number one, It's All Over Now. Known as a singer and a songwriter, he's also worked as a guitarist and here he recalls playing with Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and Sly Stone. He's got stories involving Eric Clapton and a pillowcase, as well as his own hits, such as Hany Hippie, and he claims the spirit of Sam Cooke lives on - in him! It's an upbeat stroll through his back pages but it certainly isn't all nostalgia, for the show also features Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams and contemporary music from New Sector Movements.
