Freedom of the City 2002
Recorded in May at London's Conway
Hall, the first of two programmes featuring highlights from this year's Freedom of the City Festival. Dedicated to presenting the best in free playing and improvisation, the festival features musicians from a great range of nationalities and ages, who are all part of London's vibrant and creative music scene. Artists performing include trombonist Paul Rutherford , saxophonists Caroline Kraabel and Evan Parker , bassists John Edwards and Simon H Fell, percussionists Eddie Prevost and Louis Moholo , vocalist Maggie Nicols , pianist Veryan Weston and the London Improvisers Orchestra.
